Why we built it
Most recipe sites start with the recipe and send you to the store. Real weeknights start with what is already in the kitchen: two chicken thighs, half a bag of spinach, rice, a lemon that needs using. We built a recipe generator that starts there, and writes a dinner your family will actually eat.
Everything is free and works without an account. Save recipes to a recipe box on your device, plan the week with the meal planner, or let the dinner picker decide.
How recipes are written
Recipes are written by an AI language model, following a detailed style guide we wrote the way a cookbook editor would. Every recipe must:
- use ordinary grocery-store ingredients, US measurements and realistic quantities;
- label every ingredient as yours, a pantry staple, or something to buy;
- state safe internal temperatures: 165°F for poultry, 160°F for ground meat, 145°F for pork and fish;
- strictly respect dietary filters and anything you ask to leave out;
- keep steps short, in the order a cook actually works, with visual cues for doneness.
AI recipes are not test-kitchen tested, so read through before you start and use your judgment, as you would with any recipe. Our guide on how to use an AI recipe generator explains how to sanity-check one in thirty seconds.
What we won’t do
- Make you create an account to get a recipe.
- Bury the recipe under a life story.
- Sell your data. Read the privacy policy for exactly what we collect.
